SGT. ROBERT JOHNSEY

Dear Friends, 

Thank you all, who participated in the Sgt. Robert Johnsey Memorial Golf Tournament and Auctions.  The event itself was unbelievably successful, even though the weather just didn't seem to want to cooperate.  After being flooded out by Tropical Storm Hanna on September 7th, 21 of the 36 teams came out to play on September 14th in the rain.  It rained for about the first 20 minutes and stayed rain free for the rest of the day.  Thank you all for your patients and flexibility as we did our best to work around the weather.  After the flooding and all the rain, the golf course was in tremendous shape.  I want to thank Ron Bibeau and the Riverside Golf Course for their support and work for the tournament.

The event dinner and auctions started a little earlier than scheduled on September 7th but turned out to be very successful and a good time had by all.  I want to thank all the people who attended for your support.  Both auctions and raffle raised $10,470!  Thank you to Bobby Napolitano and his staff at Bruno's Restaurant for the great food and service provided.

The grand total (pledged money) raised for Rachel and AJ's college funds was $38,410.  My goal, I set for the event committee, was to raise $25,000.  This could not have happened if it wasn't for your support and the support of our sponsors.  Please take a minute and go to the sponsor links page and patronize these businesses and thank them for their support.
